Validating the canonical release manifest and installer metadata.

SHA-256 Release metadata has not loaded yet.

Unsigned ALPHA: the current installer may trigger Microsoft Defender SmartScreen. The signature state above remains authoritative; verify the displayed SHA-256 before running the installer.

System requirements

Windows-native baseline

  • Windows 10 build 19041 or later
  • 64-bit Windows installation
  • Compatible display and Windows Graphics Capture support
  • No Visual Studio or .NET SDK required by the self-contained installer
  • Free storage greater than the published installer size, with additional headroom for installation and managed updates
  • Separate free storage for recordings, replay media, and temporary production files when those workflows are used

The exact installer size is hydrated from the validated release manifest above. Capture behavior varies by device, display topology, driver, and Windows configuration; no unsupported RAM, CPU, GPU, fixed disk-space, or vendor minimum is claimed.

Available now

A native foundation built around truthful state.

StudioApp stays visibly OFF AIR unless real output exists. Local capture begins only after an explicit operator action.

Available now

Rooms and identity

Account access, rooms, invitations, permissions, credentials, and destinations continue to come from Runtime/Auth rather than local client state.

Available now

Local production workspace

Explicit native display capture, a local Stage preview, detachable production surfaces, native audio foundations, and engine diagnostics stay on the Windows machine.

Available now

Destinations and updates

Configure Runtime/Auth-owned destination intent and consume strictly validated updates without exposing publishing credentials or storing installers in Public.

Production workspace

One native shell. Independently managed surfaces.

The current workspace keeps one Stage preview and coordinated Production, Inspector, Audio Mixer, and Production Controls surfaces that can dock, hide, or move into native popouts without fabricating media state.

WPF owns the operator experience

C# and WPF own UX, local settings, API clients, orchestration, and supervision. StudioApp is not a WebView or wrapped Browser Studio site.

C++ owns local media foundations

The separately supervised native engine owns capture, Direct3D preview composition foundations, WASAPI audio, Media Foundation startup, device control, and bounded telemetry.

Artifact trust

Know exactly what you are downloading.

The Public site never stores the installer. Access and manifest validation remain server-side before a controlled redirect reaches the canonical update host.

Canonical source

Release metadata and immutable artifacts originate from updates.streamsuites.app through a strictly validated product manifest.

Hash verification

The installer size and SHA-256 are validated before being presented. Copy the hash from the release card and verify it locally.

Honest signature state

The page reports the manifest’s signature state. An unsigned ALPHA is never described as code-signed or silently executed.

ALPHA boundaries

Built for evaluation, not production broadcasting.

Live broadcast output, local recording, clipping/replay, native remote-participant video rendering, a finished multi-source scene compositor, and production stability are not available. StudioApp remains useful for its current native foundations without claiming those future capabilities.

Studio product family

Choose the surface that fits the workflow.

Each product remains a client of Runtime/Auth authority and keeps media ownership inside the surface designed to handle it.

Browser Studio

Cloudflare Realtime-first browser production

Questions and support

Before you install.

Does StudioApp replace Browser Studio?

No. StudioApp is the Windows-native production surface; Browser Studio remains a separate browser experience.

Where is the installer hosted?

Only on the canonical StreamSuites update host. Public validates metadata and issues a controlled same-origin redirect after access checks.

Is capture automatic?

No. Display and audio capture require explicit operator action and are never started merely by launching StudioApp or opening a room.
